About Inspired Kitchen Design (IKD)
In 2008, Michael Toth started Inspired Kitchen Design (IKD) in response overwhelming feedback that IKEA’s kitchen planning software, the IKEA home planner, was just too difficult and clunky to work with.
To date IKD has created 2,500 IKEA kitchen designs for its customers. On a monthly basis IKD’s design team works with an average of 50-100 clients per month. IKD is headquartered in Miami, Florida.
IKD offers two levels of design service, an Express Package for $245 which is perfect for customers who only need a “second set of eyes” to review their design, and a Premium Package for $595 which is perfect for customers who need more help creating the kitchen of their dreams.
Aside from avoiding the Home Planner, all customers receive and love the high-resolution color renderings, detailed drawings with cabinet and wall measurements, and the complete shopping list they get from IKD.
Houzz.com, the leading online platform for home remodeling and design, has awarded IKD the Best of Houzz 2014 and 2015 badges for customer service, and the Influencer and Recommended badges. Read more at IKD’s Houzz profile.
About Michael Toth
Michael Toth is the owner and founder of Inspired Kitchen Design, a professional design firm that creates IKEA kitchens online for customers all over the globe. Michael has 25 years of experience in kitchen design and construction. He also owns three other businesses: Outsource Kitchen Design, Blue Box Kitchen Intelligence, and Kitchen Collections.
Michael’s career in kitchen design began before IKEA had a major presence in North America. When he set foot in a Home Depot in 1991 and saw they had flat-packed furniture, he knew this would make kitchen construction affordable in Central America. He and a friend from the University of Florida put together their first 40’ shipping container of kitchen cabinets and countertops and sent it to Nicaragua. One year later, he and his business partner opened their first showroom there.
