Delivery of finished Products
We strive to complete all designs within 72 business hours or less. Large floor plans, incomplete information or other complications may increase design lead times. Please be aware that IKD offices may not be open during major holidays.
References to IKEA brand
IKD is an independent kitchen design service. The IKD website is not authorized or sponsored by Inter IKEA Systems B.V. All photos on the IKD site are either owned by IKD or IKD has its customers’ permission to use them here. Information contained on these pages is offered as a compilation of our own experience when designing for customers who want to purchase IKEA products.
Collected personal information
If you open an account, we collect the following types of information:
- Contact information – your name, email, phone number and similar information.
- Room information – wall measurements, ceiling height, etc.
- IKEA’s Home Planner information – username and password. We do this in order to give you a copy of your design pre-loaded for later purchase at your nearest IKEA store.
Use of personal information
We gather this information in order to better understand the needs of our visitors and members, to provide you with better service, and for the following reasons:
- Internal record keeping and statistical analysis.
- To improve our products and services and bring better IKEA information to you.
- To optimize the website according to visitor and member needs.
Controlling your personal information
We will not sell, trade, give away, distribute, lease or share your personally identifiable information to or with third parties unless we have your express permission or are required to by law. We may use certain statistical data in order to provide you with pertinent information regarding IKD and/or offers, products, services or other information from IKD. We may use your personal information to send you information about the site and its products and services that we think you may find interesting and, if we do, you will always have an option to opt-out.
About us
We’re a group of eight independent designers who have been designing kitchens since 2006. This site evolved out of a desire to provide personalized and dedicated design services to customers looking to use IKEA products for their home remodel projects.
Our goal is to enable our customers to have their design ideas come to life when using IKEA kitchen cabinets and furnishings, to provide inspiration and technical advice, to provide assistance with planning, to help with questions about modification and installation and to provide answers to both common and uncommon queries about designing IKEA kitchens.
It is not our intention to impersonate IKEA stores or services. We are independent kitchen designers with a great deal of experience with IKEA products. We do not sell IKEA products. IKEA products are sold solely in stores operating the IKEA Retail System–franchised by Inter IKEA Systems B.V. of The Netherlands. We are not affiliated with IKEA in any way; we are not IKEA co-workers, partners, affiliates, sales representatives, nor are we sponsored, financially or otherwise, by Inter IKEA Systems B.V.
