Installer from Passaic, NJ shares his tips for achieving custom kitchen cabinets
Meet Arek Such, the brains and brawn behind Renaissance Creations LLC out of Passiac NJ.
Arek is not only an independent installer of IKEA kitchens, he also does custom cabinetry.
That means if you needed one or more IKEA hacks in your NYC metro area kitchen, Arek is probably the guy to cut down those cabinets for you.
Why do people hire Renaissance Creations to install their IKEA kitchens?
We work fast. We don’t spend the whole day on breaks. We come in, do the job, and once we know the customer is completely satisfied, we go home and they get to enjoy their new kitchen.

Why Design with IKD?
At this point most of our work comes in through word-of-mouth. Our customers are happy and they tell their friends. It’s great.
My family has been in the carpentry and cabinetry business for 3 generations. My father and grandfather install kitchens in Poland, and I am the first one to do so in the United States.
Tell us about your custom cabinetry and IKEA.
I will do custom kitchens for anyone who wants them. But for my customers who choose IKEA for their kitchens, my experience means I can help them with cabinet modifications.
It’s easy for any of the Renaissance Creations crew to modify a base cabinet to fit a farmhouse kitchen or front-controlled cooktop, or to create a skinny spice rack to fill extra space. Our customers really appreciate our skill and attention to detail.
Where do you install IKEA kitchens?
We’re based in Passaic, New Jersey, but we will install a kitchen for anyone within a 90-mile radius.
We provide our IKEA installation service to anyone near these 4 IKEA stores:
- IKEA Brooklyn
- IKEA Long Island
- IKEA Elizabeth, NJ
- IKEA Paramus, NJ
We haven’t gone to Pennsylvania yet but we would.
What was your favorite IKEA kitchen installation?
It’s hard to choose a favorite customer because all of our customers are great. We will install small kitchens and big kitchens, although I admit big kitchens are easier because me and my crew can stay out of each other’s way.
However I’d say that my favorite project was on the Jersey Shore. The client had 3 kitchens in one really big home. We did 3 jobs without having to move all of our tools and equipment very far. Plus the house was beautiful and so was the scenery. It was a luxury home for sure.
Thanks for being on the Inspired Kitchen Design blog, Arek. They say a photo is worth a thousand words, and the pictures of your IKEA kitchen installations are incredible.
