If you aren’t using Rev-A-Shelf, you aren’t getting the most out of your IKEA kitchen.

In this article:

  • What to do if you feel lost in your new kitchen design.
  • How Rev-A-Shelf makes organizing easy.
  • Why IKD designer Yessica creates no-door internal organizer designs for customers.

Most kitchen designs focus on the exterior—the layout, cabinet fronts, color schemes, countertops, etc.—but once the magazine-worthy design is installed, homeowners often feel…empty.

That’s because their cabinets are empty.

You may have a brand-new kitchen that looks amazing, but it quickly becomes stressful and cluttered if you don’t know how to organize it. Wouldn’t it be great to have some professional guidance on the interior cabinet space as well as the exterior? This demand is why we include Rev-A-Shelf internal organizer designs in our kitchen design package.

Reasons our Designers Prefer Designing with Rev-A-Shelf Internal Organizers

IKD designer Yessica explains how Rev-A-Shelf gives her more tools to help her IKEA kitchen design clients. She uses her professional design skills and IKEA knowledge to create stunningly beautiful kitchens. Then, she goes the extra mile by ensuring they know how Rev-A-Shelf can benefit their future use.

Rev-A-Shelf makes “dead space” useful.

Corner and under-sink cabinets are notorious for being black holes of wasted space. Blind corner cabinets often require an expedition to access, while under-sink cabinets require maneuvering around pipes and hoses.

Yessica likes offering customers practical solutions like the RAS blind corner optimizer (53PSP-15SC-GR) and half-moon lazy susans (LD-4NW-882-32-1) for corner cabinets. For under-sink cabinets, RAS offers u-shaped pullout organizers (5386-33BCSCFL-FOG) and two-tier organizers (548-10CR-1) designed to bypass sink hardware.

Rev-A-Shelf products are versatile.

Yessica knows there will always be a Rev-A-Shelf product to fit her customers’ organizational needs and kitchen design aesthetic. For example, RAS has dozens of options for pullout trash bins. The wood-bottom waste container system (4WCOX-24DMSC-1) has room for two 35 qt waste containers as well as an OXO container for additional storage. There is also an aluminum bottom mount option (5149-15DM18-111),a wire bottom mount option (RV-12KD-17C S), and a universal waste container for tight spaces (RUKD-932-1).

These are some of the options for just one product.

3” Filler piece with a pull-out organizer insite

Rev-A-Shelf gives small spaces a purpose.

We’ve talked about larger spaces that are hard to maneuver, but what about spaces that are just too small to be useful? You might be surprised to learn that these spaces are small but mighty. One of Yessica’s favorite tricks is to replace a filler (a.k.a empty space) with a Rev-A-Shelf filler pullout.

This solution can look like a 6” wide pantry pullout (432-TF39-6C) between the wall and your refrigerator, perfect for cereal boxes, snacks, and pasta. It can also look like a 3” wide base cabinet pullout (432-BF-3C), which Yessica often uses to create a clever space-saving spice rack.

Kitchen design showing Rev-A-Shelf products are versatile

Rev-A-Shelf specializes in internal organization.

Yessica looks to Rev-A-Shelf for internal cabinet organization because they offer a wide range of products and because RAS is high quality. IKEA has a minimal selection of cabinet organizers, and their focus is on mass-produced, affordable home goods. That certainly has its place, but not in the custom IKEA kitchens Yessica carefully designs for her clients.

Rev-A-Shelf’s sole purpose is organization, so their products had better be long-lasting and functional. For example, when organizing a corner cabinet with IKEA, your choicesare the UTRUSTA base cabinet pullout fitting or the UTRUSTA base cabinet carousel. Both have melamine-covered shelves with plastic and metal components and are one-size-fits-all.

With Rev-A-Shelf, you’re never limited to just two solutions, one material, or a single size. They also build their products to last, using materials like steel wire and solid wood.

Bathroom design with internal organizers

Rev-A-Shelf is for more than just the kitchen.

Yessica helps homeowners benefit from Rev-A-Shelf’s organizational influence in every part of the home. RAS has plenty of internal organizers for the kitchen, but they also have products like the vanity outlet grooming organizer for the bathroom (445-VBOSC-8C), the elite rotating ironing board for the closet (CROIBSL-14-SM-1), and an array of pullout hampers for the laundry room.

The problem with your kitchen might be how it’s organized – but a design with Rev-A-Shelf can help.

Yessica ensures you know how your IKEA kitchen will look and function by taking the time to design with internal organizers. Her separate interior organizer designs remove the cabinet doors and drawer fronts in the high-resolution images to highlight how Rev-A-Shelf organizers will look and function in your new IKEA kitchen design.

Keep your kitchen neat and organized by asking your IKD designer to design the inside of your cabinets as well as the outside.
