Meet Mike

Man at the top

Mike got his first taste of entrepreneurship when he was a child, raking leaves and shoveling snow for his neighbors. He was hooked! Now he owns and operates five different kitchen design businesses including IKD. The combination of his entrepreneurial intuition and more than 25 years of kitchen design experience means he always has his finger on the pulse of the home design industry.

Mike knows customers appreciate IKEA’s SEKTION kitchen system for its blend of affordability, quality and flexibility. He started IKD to make it much easier for customers to get the kitchen design of their dreams without having to deal with the hassle of the IKEA Home Planner. It’s this mutual collaboration that’s at the heart of IKD.

For years Mike has been a crossword puzzle junkie and has not missed a puzzle in the New York Times in years. (A string of 1,268 days but whose counting!)

“We can’t go to IKEA for you, but we can make the kitchen design process convenient, easy and inspiring for you. And our designs are inspired by our customers’ unique needs. That’s why our designs are unique and IKEA cabinets provide a lot of ways to accomplish that for you.”
