Question: Describe yourself in one word.
Answer: Creative

Q:What historical figure do you most identify with?
A: Andres Segovia. What a virtuoso! I’ve been playing guitar since I was 8 years old and have always admired his skill and proficiency on the guitar. His skill gives me good motivation to keep practicing and have fun at the same time.

Q: What animal would you want to come back as in your next life, and why?
A: That’s easy, a beaver. They’re so cool and laid back but are creative and hard workers too. I like to think those are qualities that I have too.

Q: What is one of your favorite moments working at IKD so far?
A: It’s a great joy to see and read about so many of the IKEA kitchens and other room projects that we’ve created for our customers. It really gives me great ideas for my own home and I know I’ve got great designers close by to help me out if I need it!

Q: What are some of your hobbies and interests when not designing at IKD?
A: As I mentioned, I’ve played guitar for as long as I can remember. Currently I’m working on my fingerpicking technique. Beyond that I’m also very community conscious and lead a non-profit endeavor that helps create long-term sustainable housing for underrepresented communities. That’s a real passion for me.

Q: What does your dream design look like?
A: Something simple and eco-friendly is a must. I prefer clean lines and a more minimalistic look. But with that I would want lots of natural light and plenty of storage options. I’m constantly taking notes from the designs we’ve created here at IKD. I’ve already got some good ideas.

Q: What is your dream vacation?
A: I’d love to go to Cleveland and visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. That would be. a tremendous thrill. And on the way back I would stop at Niagara Falls. That must be amazing to see.

Q: What is one interesting thing about you that people might be surprised to know?
A: I’m really into fitness and always try to be active. People joke with me because I have a really hard time sitting still! But I enjoy being healthy and exercising is a great time to unwind and think of some creative ideas that I can apply with my music and with helping others in the community.
