Taking a look at the newest IKEA kitchen products for 2021

While the 2021 IKEA catalog is not released yet, the individual brochures are ready on the IKEA website and they provide a clear glimpse of what we’ll find in the oh-so-expected IKEA catalog.

As experts in all-things IKEA we at IKD know that one of our most important responsibilities is to be aware of the status of IKEA products. We also know that many IKEA customers — especially those new to IKEA cabinetry— are looking for the new 2021 IKEA catalog to find out about IKEA’s newest products.

Well, there are plenty of new product options available to go with IKEA’s SEKTION cabinetry framework.

Perhaps it’s a new doorstyle color to add warmth to your space; or a new accessory that will make your kitchen more efficient. Or maybe you’re looking for new appliances. Well, new IKEA products are here — and the 2021 IKEA catalog is not far behind.

IKEA Doorstyles

Right out of the gate we’re excited to see IKEA introduce the new ASKERSUND Dark Brown Ash Effect doorstyle.

This is a flat-panel, dark wood door that will add warmth to any kitchen. Prior, IKEA only had the Askersund Light Ash Effect, which blended nicely with other flat panel doors, but this darker option is perfect for modern to transitional looks (think light countertops and stainless steel appliances).

In addition, IKEA is also introducing the new SKÖVDE glass door in Dark Bronze Effect, which would complement more eclectic design themes.

Notably, some doorstyles have also been discontinued, like the TINGSRYD Wood Effect Black and the GREVSTA stainless steel door style which has been replaced with the new VÅRSTA stainless steel door.

Even more notably is that along with the new products offerings are new lower prices.

For instance, the prices on all SEKTION cabinet frames have dropped, as have the prices on some doorstyles including :

• IKEA Veddinge White

Remember: IKEA cabinetry is budget friendly and design friendly, known for its adaptability and durability. So even when IKEA lowers its prices you can be sure it hasn’t lowered its quality!

IKEA Appliances

IKEA customers have been wondering about appliances, and new appliances are coming soon to IKEA stores.

IKEA appliances will give you many options to make your kitchen more stylish and ergonomic, plus they come with a 5-Year Limited Warranty.

For instance, you can find the new IKEA MEDELNIVÅ over-the-range microwave; the IKEA MOMTSVARIG range with glass ceramic cooktop, or the new IKEA ESSENTIEL built-in dishwasher.

The IKEA TVÄRSÄKER range with induction cooktop is another new stylish option. Induction works by creating a magnetic field that reacts with the metal of the pan, which means that the whole pan becomes the heating element.

It also means that it can actually be more effective (and safer) than gas or traditional electric cooking because it’s the pan that gets hot, not the cooktop.

Lastly, visit Pages 24 – 25 of the brochure and check out the new IKEA ADRÄTT wall oven with true convection and self-cleaning — convenience and style all in one!

IKEA Accessories

One of the most important additions in the upcoming IKEA catalog will be new IKEA accessories.

New accessories, like the new UTRUSTA Hinges with damper for horizontal doors (Pages 4 – 5), will enhance the look and functionality of your IKEA kitchen. Made of nickel-plated steel, the built-in damper allows doors to close “slowly, softly and silently,” IKEA notes.

Also, remember it’s the details that make the difference in a kitchen layout. The new IKEA NISSAFORS Cart (Pages 16 – 17) is a three-level mobile storage option that works equally well in the kitchen as well as the master bath (we mentioned adaptability, right?).

For those finishing touches, the new IKEA VINNÄSET clear lacquered solid beech knobs (Pages 38 – 39) and the new IKEA GLITTRAN kitchen faucet in metallized brass, add elegance to any design and the dark tones create a subtle sense of warmth as well.
